OUR SERVICES
FEEDING TUBE MANAGEMENT
We support clients living in the community with feeding tubes such as PEG tubes. We will work with you to manage your nutrition. We also offer a specialised hands on service where we manage, change and trouble shoot issues or concerns you might have about your feeding tube. We help to keep you healthy at home so you don't need to go into hospital for issues relating to your feeding tube.
ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURIES
We support clients living in the community who have an acquired brain injury. Nutrition concerns following a brain injury are diverse. Hands on Nutrition has extensive experience supporting clients with brain injuries, Hayley currently works as the Senior Dietitian in the Acquired Brain injury Unit at Alfred Health.
DIFFICULTIES EATING ENOUGH
When we become unwell, suffer an injury or live with a disability it can be hard to eat and drink all that our bodies need. This can lead to weightloss and malnutrition. With over ten years of experience working with clients who struggle to eat enough Hands on Nutrition can support you to optimise your nutrition. Education, food fortification and specialised nutrition drinks are just some of the tools that we use.

NUTRITION POST SURGERY
Hands on Nutrition has years of experience supporting clients who have had gastrointestinal surgery such as removal of the stomach, oesophagus and parts of the small and large bowel.
NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)
Hands on Nutrition works with self managed and plan managed clients under NDIS. Our services can be funded under:

The total hours required will be discussed at your first face to face appointment.
TRANSPORT ACCIDENT COMISSION (TAC)
Hands on Nutrition is a registrered TAC provider and bills TAC directly so there will be no out of pocket fee to you. Clients must have a valid claim number.
MEDICARE
Hands on Nutrition works with clients who have a chronic disease. You may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) service. We require a referral from your GP. Under CDM services, Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 Dietetic services per person per calendar year.
WORK SAFE
Hands on Nutrition is a registered provider for Work Safe. Clients must have a valid claim number.
